Pastor Sherman West was the called and appointed shepherd that would lead Antioch. Under the dynamic leadership of Pastor Sherman West, the church was able to purchase a lot at Ashville Drive, where 54 years later the church still resides. In 1970, two more lots were purchased for the second addition of the church to be built. In 1977, another lot was purchased in efforts to accommodate the growth the church was experiencing.
